A useful price comparison starts by checking that the two prices describe the same purchase.
Compare the same thing
Record the medicine, formulation, strength, quantity and number of days supplied. A tablet and an injection with the same ingredient are separate products. A programme fee that excludes treatment cannot be compared directly with a treatment-inclusive service.
Separate the first order from later orders
Write down the undiscounted price, the first-order price and the ongoing price separately. Add any delivery, consultation and membership charges. Check whether an introductory offer requires a minimum commitment or carries an early-cancellation charge.
Four weeks is not a calendar month
A year contains just over thirteen 28-day periods. A £150 payment every 28 days is approximately £1,955 over 365 days, compared with £1,800 for twelve calendar-month payments. That calculation assumes the same price throughout; actual charges may change.
Keep uncertainty visible
Missing information should remain missing. It is not a zero fee. Ask the provider to confirm the final payable total and relevant terms before relying on a comparison.
